The long awaited news we have all been waiting for…..CMS, in collaboration with the CDC, has issued guidance for nursing homes to safely resume visitations as we continue move through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Starting on Monday 3/15/21, Guy and Mary Felt Manor will be offering indoor visitation in the back of our dining room.
Families may call in Monday through Friday from 8:00am-3:30pm to schedule with our receptionist/secretary Shelley Carlson at 486-4830.
Visits will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00am – 6pm (no visits during lunch or supper) and weekends will be Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am through 3:00pm.
Visits will be limited to two visitors for a maximum of 30 minutes, with a 2 visit per week limit.
Calls must be received by Friday at 3:00pm to be scheduled for a weekend visit.
The following guidance must be adhered by in order to visit:
-Please park behind the manor in our parking lot and utilize the dining area door for entry to lessen the risk of exposure to other residents.
-Screening of all who enter the facility for signs and symptoms of COVID-19, temperature checks, questions about and observations of signs or symptoms and denial of entry to anyone with signs or symptoms or those who have had close contact with someone with COVID in the prior 14 days regardless of vaccination status.
-Hand hygiene
-Face covering – must cover mouth and nose
-Social distance at least six feet apart
-Two visitors per resident allowed at one time
-Only one set of visitors in the facility at one time
-Visitors must remain in the designated area at all times. Visitors are not permitted to roam around the facility or visit with other residents.
-No visits may take place in a resident room, unless it is deemed a compassionate visit.
-If the resident is fully vaccinated, they can choose to have close contact (including touch) with their visitor while wearing a mask and perform hand-hygiene before and after. Visitors should physically distance from other residents and staff in the facility at all times.
The visitor must wear their mask at all times.
-If any visitor fails to adhere to the protocol, he/she will be asked to leave.
We will allow indoor visitation as long as the facility does not have a COVID outbreak or the county positivity rate is above 10%. However; compassionate care visits are permitted at all times following facility guidance. Felt Manor continues to offer Zoom with your loved one.
All newly admitted residents must still quarantine, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated for 14 days due to facility policy. Until the resident is released from quarantine, they are not permitted any visitors.
We are excited to be able to offer indoor visitation again. Please bear with us, as we work out any kinks in our process. First and foremost, our residents and staff safety is our main concern while we maintain infection prevention practices given the continued risk of COVID-19 transmission.
