Virginia B. Copp

 

Virginia B. Copp, 89, formerly of Old West Creek Road in Emporium, PA, passed away on January 11, 2021 at the Guy and Mary Felt Manor. She was born May 4th, 1931 in Muncy, PA to the late Merl W. and Sarah Virginia (Heiney) Matteson. On December 24, 1949, in Painted Post NY, she married Charles R. Copp who passed away September 24, 2016. 

Surviving are two sons, Rickey L. (Pam) Copp, Robert O. (Victoria) Copp, and one daughter, Wanda M. Jordan and by 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

Virginia worked as a waitress for many years and worked at the Ingersall Rand Club, in Painted Post, as the head cook. At one point she owned her own restaurant. Her homemade pies, made from scratch, were much sought after. She was also the secretary/treasurer at Shippen Township in Emporium for many years. She retired in 1996. 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her twin brother, Alfred M. Matteson. There will be no visitation or services.
