Richard James 'Dick' Clancy

 

Richard James 'Dick' Clancy (75) of Emporium, PA peacefully passed into eternal rest December 25, 2020 in Tampa, Florida. Born April 13th 1945 in Rich Valley, PA. He was the son of the late Gerald and Lila (Hart) Clancy. He graduated from Austin Area High School in Austin, PA. On September 5th 1964, he married the love of his life Judith Lynn Gale at the Emporium Methodist Church. They made their home in Truman, PA where they raised 2 sons. 

Dick enjoyed many activities during his life including: square dancing, camping, traveling, and snowmobiling. Most recently, he and Judy enjoyed wintering at their home in Avon Park, Florida where they had many family and friends. He was a very proud member of the Emporium-Driftwood Masonic Lodge for 50 years and served as Master in 1988. He was a member of the Emporium Moose Club.

 A family man, Dick enjoyed time spent at gatherings with his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, close friends and the 'lights of his life' his great granddaughters. He was especially excited of the arrival of his first great grandson. 

 Survivors are: wife Judy of 56 years, son James (Christian) Clancy of Truman, son Daniel (Kimberly) Clancy of Columbia, S.C., granddaughter Erin (Dylan) Shields of St. Marys, granddaughter Grace (Nolan) Sorg of St. Marys, great granddaughters Annalise and Violet Shields, brothers Robert and William Clancy, sisters Mary (Denny) Baker and Barb Clancy. 

Preceded in death by: his parents, brother Edward Clancy, sisters Patty Hamilton and Ann Glover. 

A private celebration of life will be held a later date.
