Fund Raising Project For Newton Cemetery 

The Newton Cemetery Board of Directors and a small group of citizens have met in the past few months to discuss the finances of the cemetery and what improvements need to be done there. 

The Board of Directors and interested citizens are raising money for a major road improvement project, removal of trees that were damaged after the storm this summer and replacing a decades old lawn tractor. The estimated cost of these projects and improvements has led us to set our Fund Raising goal at $100,000. 

The projected goal is quite large but hopefully with the generosity of the community members,in-kind services of businesses and locally available grants, this goal will be reached. 

We are in the middle of applying for different grants. We have also received generous donations from the community and from families who have loved ones buried at the cemetery.
