George Ann Holden, daughter of the late George and Ann Sullivan Holden,
died September 18, 2020, at the age of 97. She was born November 20, 1922
in Emporium.
In addition to her parents, Georgie was predeceased by her sisters,
Pauline Lewis, Mary Jane Pleak, and Frances Margaret Holden, and her

After graduating from Emporium High School, Georgie worked briefly in

She was godmother to nine lucky children and was everyone’s favorite aunt.
Her favorite vacation was going to the beach with the Andersons. Active in
the community, she delivered Meals on Wheels, bowled in many leagues, was
secretary of the Class of ’41, and for many years wrote a column in the
Cameron County Echo.
Georgie is survived by her beloved nieces and nephews: Bob (Joanne) Pleak

dear friends.
