What to do if you have a tick bite?

1. Correctly remove the tick by using fine-point tweezers and place the tick into a zip-locked bag. Make sure to avoid using alcohol, essential oils, burning the tick or other methods that could put you at great risk of a tickborne illness.

2. Visit our website www.ticklab.org, select ‘Test My Tick’, and follow our simple submission process and mail your tick to us! Using priority mail will assist your tick to arrive fast while tracking it along the way. However, a simple envelope with a stamp will also work.

3. Once we receive your tick, we will identify the type of tick and begin the testing.

4. You will receive text and email notifications throughout the process.
