Quehanna Industrial Development Corporation Updates

The 23rd Annual QIDC 100 Mile Yard Sale is being cancelled this year due to the uncertainty of the pandemic and the large amount of people that attend this event every year. This was truly a hard decision for us because we love seeing everyone. We did get shirts for this event already. Those will also be on our website soon. This year we decided to honor our first responders by placing a small firetruck, police car, and ambulance on the shirts. The cost of these shirts is $15. The people who have already registered for this event will be getting a phone call from Chris Williams regarding your registration fee.

We hope and pray that everyone is staying safe and we hope to be back with our events next year. In the meantime, feel free to check out our website, www.visitquehannaarea.com. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at qidckarthaus2017@gmail.com.

The 19th Annual Fawn Sensenig West Branch of the Susquehanna River Canoe/Kayak/Paddleboard River Run for 2020 is being cancelled due to the stay at home order. We do have t-shirts that were purchased before the pandemic. If anyone would like one, they will be on our website for $15. For those that have already registered for the event, Chris Williams will be contacting you about the event.

The 6th Annual Elk/Deer Antler Shed Hunt Scoring Event is going to still take place. We are just going to do things a little different this year. We will be having one person at the scoring table at a time. We will be asking you to please get your antlers scored, then get your picture taken, and if you want raffle tickets or shirts, please purchase them and then we would like to ask that you return to your vehicle and leave the premises. This way we can still hold the event and award a winner since several of you that registered have been out in the woods looking for those antlers during this pandemic. While you are there, we ask that you please wear a mask and practice the social distancing. The winner and other participants that bring in antlers will have their checks mailed to them.
