Cameron County School District Update

March 23, 2020

Dear Community,

Good afternoon.  Governor Wolf held a press conference this afternoon in which he announced that all Pennsylvania schools will remain closed for an additional two weeks.  Unfortunately, there has been no further direction pertaining to the obligation to provide 180 days of schooling by June 30th.   To that end, we must move forward by planning to be in session until that date.

In the meantime, we will strive to provide a sense of normalcy while seeking ways to ensure that all students have access to meaningful educational opportunities even under these difficult circumstances.  Nobody wants to have learning come to a halt due to the COVID-19 outbreak and we continue to look into a variety of options to provide instruction for our students.

Please know that we are trying hard to keep you as up-to-date and share as much information as possible.  As you assuredly know, things are changing daily and even hourly.  We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

The Cameron County School District intends to continue the breakfast/lunch program as long as we are able.  Please continue to monitor the District webpage and Facebook page for any changes or alterations to this program.

We thank you for your continued understanding and support!
