Lorena J. “JoAnn” Park, 79, of 1204 Old West Creek Road, Emporium, PA, passed peacefully on Thursday morning, (January 16, 2020). She was born May 11, 1940 in Leon, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Vernon and Lorena Hoisington Totty. On May 9, 1959 in Street, Maryland she married Harry G. Park Sr., who survives. Harry and JoAnn were the love of each other’s lives having celebrated 60 years of marriage.
JoAnn retired after 28 years from the former Pennsylvania Pressed Metals. She was a member of the Emporium Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. JoAnn served as a Sunday School teacher and a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed camping, gardening and playing cards with her special friends. JoAnn’s greatest passion was her husband and family. She proudly watched her grandchildren play sports and was always their #1 fan. JoAnn was very proud of her patriotic family as her father, husband, sons, grandson and brothers all served our great county in the armed forces.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Julia (Robert) Spehalski, Emmaus, PA; Brenda (Tom) Munz, Emporium, PA; and R. Michele Park (Jeff Snell), Driftwood, PA; two sons, Harry (Tammy) Park Jr., Virginia Beach, VA and Kevin (Beth) Park, Southampton, NJ; thirteen grandchildren (Steven, Andrew, Stacey, Justin, Brent, Courtney, Jordan, Taylor, Kevin, Nathan, Kayden, Jake and Katie); seven great grandchildren (Aubrey, Dylan, Ryder, Harper, Luke, Charlotte, and Ava); two brothers, Vernon (Marie) Totty, CA and Delbert (Thixie) Totty, OK; five sisters, Birdie (Wayne) McNutt, TX, Mary Sue Peterman, Glenda Brown, Verena “Neno” Smith, Donna Smith, all of OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Hildegard Totty and one brother, Claude Totty.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 20, 2020, 11:00am – Noon. Funeral Service immediately following visitation with Pastor Lionel Owen officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA.
