David J. Akins, Sr., 52, of Tannery Heights, Emporium, died Tuesday,
December 3, 2019, in Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys.
Born March 15, 1967 in St. Marys, he was the son of Clifford and Audrey
Jenkins Akins.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, he attended Cameron County High School
and for many years was employed by RaCoH Products in Emporium.
David was a member of the Bucktail Rod & Gun Club in Emporium..
In addition to his companion of over 35 years, Jane M. Farren, he is
survived by: one son, David Akins, Jr., of Emporium; his fiance, Necole Herbstrittt; ex-wife , Jesse Armour; two daughters, Tina (Steve) Kuhn of Emporium and Victoria (Billy) Parrish of Port Allegany; eleven
grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Akins of Kane and Randy (Peachy) Akins of
Emporium; one sister, Kimberly Akins of Emporium ; and several nieces and
nephews.
Mr. Akins was predeceased by his parents and by a son, Clifford, in 2008.
A memorial service for David will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:30 am in the Cameron County Christian Center in Emporium, with Pastor David Hockey and Rock Pifer officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral
Home, Emporium.
