Upcoming Happenings @ the Emporium Senior Center: All are welcome to attend.

Monday, November 11th—Closed for Veteran’s Day

Tuesday, November 12th—Club Meeting @ 1pm! All members encouraged to attend.

Sunday, November 17th—Bingo @ 1pm!

Monday, November 18th—Painting Class with Artist Anna Cass @ 1pm. There are two Christmas painting choices to choose from. Call the Senior Center to sign up!

Tuesday, November 19th—FREE Blood Pressure/Blood Sugar Screenings from 11-11:30am. Short Program to follow about Choosing Healthy Meals!

Wednesday, November 20th—Supper Club @ Sprague’s @ 5pm! Give the Center a call to sign up or for more details!

Sunday, November 24th—Pumpkin Pie Contest @ 1-3pm!

Tuesday, November 26th—Wii Bowling “Turkey” Tournament @ 10am! We like to Wii bowl at the center every Tuesday morning, but for Thanksgiving Week, we want to give a special prize to anyone who gets a “turkey” during their first game. Come on down to join all the fun!

Thursday and Friday, November 28th and 29th—Closed for Thanksgiving.

Pumpkin Pie Contest The Emporium Senior Center will be holding their first ever Pumpkin Pie Contest on Sunday, November 24th from 1-3pm! Anyone in the community is invited to enter the contest by baking 2 pies—1 Pumpkin Pie will be judged and 1 other pie (of any type of your choice) will be served at the Community Thanksgiving Dinner! All are invited to come between 1pm and 3pm to taste all of the pies and vote for their favorite for a $3 donation. All monies raised during this event will be given to the Cameron County Ambulance Service and the winner of the pie contest will receive a special prize! So, whether you like to bake pie, eat pie, like to support your community, or are just looking for something to do on this day, stop in and join the fun!
