Homecoming,Hall of Fame, BBQ Weeknd in Cameron County

It will be a busy weekend in Cameron County!

Friday kicks off with the Homecoming Parade at 5:00 P.M. in downtown Emporium. The CCHS Red Raider football team will host the Elk county Catholic High School on our field beginning at 7 P.M. The Homecoming Queen will be chosen at halftime. Go Raiders!!

If your not at the game, stop in town around 7 to meet the competitors for the Kicking Ash BBQ - they will be set up near the Chamber of Commerce.

The new 55 mile Sinnemahone Gravel Race is this Saturday at 9:00am. The 14 mile race is at 9:15am. Both start at the intersection of the West Creek Recreational Trail and Broad Street in Emporium. The Ash Kicking BBQ begins food sales @ 11 AM. Vendors and live music provided by Old Skool will be centered in downtown Emporium.

Hometown Mentors, Inc. is pleased to announce The Cameron County Hometown Sports Hall of Fame will host a meet and greet at 5:00 PM in the Cameron County High School Auditorium. The induction ceremony starts at 6:30 PM celebrating Coach "Papa" John Fragale and the   
1999 Football Team.

As always, there are plenty of scenic drives to take throughout the county. The Elk are bugling, there's wildlife everywhere and several restaurants in Cameron County that offer delicious food. Enjoy your visit!
