Friday night begins with music, a quilt show and old fashion pie and ice cream social. Saturday vendors line the streets in downtown Emporium offering food, artwork, children activities, music, Big Foot Calling Contest and fun that continues to Cameron County High School with a
night swim and fireworks.

Big Foot Hunt - Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 6 AM – 1 PM --Purchase a license and you have the opportunity to hunt for the elusive Big Foot on public land in Cameron County! We know there are 12 roaming the mountains of the PA Great Outdoors. Find one and you take home prizes. The event benefits Mountaineer Search and Rescue.
Firequacker Duck Race -
Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 5 PM – 5:30 PM
421 N Broad St Emporium
Adopt a duck to benefit the Cameron County Fireworks. The Firequacker Duck Race will be held during Weekend in the Wilds in downtown Emporium. Emporium Volunteer Fire Department will flood North Broad Street and the ducks will race to the finish. First place takes home $100, 2nd place $75 and third place $50.
Cameron County High School Night Swim
Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 4 PM – 9:30 PM
Enjoy a night swim at the Cameron County School Pool! Fireworks blast off at dusk.
Cameron County Fireworks - The CCHS football stadium is the perfect place to watch the loudest show in PA Great Outdoors. It tops off the Weekend in the Wilds event.
Park in the lot and sit on the bleachers for the best seats in the area.
