Celebrate Migratory Birds at Sinnemahoning





Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 11th, with a variety of programs at Sinnemahoning State Park.

Songbirds Up Close, Saturday, May 11, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Participate in songbird research with licensed bander Keith McKenrick. Observe and photograph songbirds up-close while learning about their winter and summer habitats. Free program. All ages welcome. Arrive anytime.

Eagle Nest Watch, Saturday, May 11, 11:00 AM– 1:00 PM. The baby eagles are nearly as big as their parents. View live nest action through binoculars and scope with help from park volunteers.

Magnificent Migrators Pontoon Tour, Saturday, May 11, 1:30 – 3:00 PM. Enjoy a 1.5-hour tour of the lake while learning about the World Migratory Bird Day, the migratory birds of the First Fork Valley, and ways to help protect their habitats. Seats are limited. Pre-registration recommended. Program is free, but donations are requested.
