Join drum educators T.R. McKotch and Ryan Sandberg for a fun, refreshing and motivating hand drum experience. Learn and play exciting and beautiful traditional rhythms and songs from all over the world- from places such as West Africa, Central Africa, Haiti and beyond. Yes, beginners are ALWAYS warmly welcomed and some drums are provided for those without. All that is required is a willingness to show up, be present and most importantly...try. Learn how to express yourself using your drum through “on-the-fly" aka improvisational rhythmic music creation.
Experience creating your own rhythms and finding out how to connect them with others. Immerse yourself for 90 minutes of high-energy, fun and exciting drumming.
Rhythmic Explorations Hand Drum Workshops are ideal for festivals, private events, birthday parties, schools, team building trainings for corporations and more.
What others are saying:
"T.R. McKotch is a rare kind of musician who can both play and teach very well. His ability to connect to beginner drummers, both by teaching and through empowering them are traits that will help his students long after they leave his experiences . TR is someone who truly loves people and wants to see them progress." ~Jim Donovan (Rusted Root)
“My experience with Ryan as my student is that his passion for music as a whole is humbling power and that transcends as he leads now as a teacher." ~JA Kasumu of Nigeria, West Africa (ADE JEMBE FOLA, headquarters Buffalo NY)
