Kimberly A. Hallowell, 55, of 406 East Allegany, Emporium, PA passed peacefully at her residence on Wednesday afternoon (October 3, 2018) after a long courageous battle with brain cancer.
She was born February 5, 1963 in St. Marys, PA a daughter of Janice Broker Kowell of Emporium and the late Austin Kowell.
On January 2, 1982, in Emmanuel Episcopal Church, she married David "Bucket" Hallowell, who survives.
Kim graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1981. She worked at GKN for over 32 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sports and going to Benezette to view the elk. Most of all, she loved spending time with friends and family, especially her grandsons.
In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Lacey (Ryan) McFadden and Jenelle (Bill) Lampariello of Lancaster; a son, Shawn Hallowell, Cleveland; three grandchildren Riley Parker, Easton James and Mason Grant; a brother, Daniel Kowell, Alaska; a sister, Jackie Kowell Sams, Emporium.
She was preceded in death by her father, Austin Kowell.
Visitation with tribute video will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Sunday (Oct. 7, 2018) from 4:00 - 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM with Father Matthew Ryan, Rector, Emmanuel Episcopal Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
