This Weekend at Sinnemahoning St Park

Kayaking, Skull Identification, and Pontoon Tours this Weekend at Sinnemahoning

This weekend, Sinnemahoning State Park is offering a free kayaking program for youth on Saturday afternoon, a skull identification program on Saturday evening, and pontoon boat tours on Sunday. Programs details include:

Youth Kayaking
Saturday, August 4, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM.

Learn basic water safety and paddling techniques while enjoying games and activities to improve kayak skills. All equipment provided. Youth ages 10-18. Swimmers only. Pre-registration required. Meet at Lake Day Use Area.

Skulls: Its Inside that Counts
Saturday, August 4, 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM.

Discover how to identify animal skulls by looking at the teeth, eyes, and other features. Interactive campground talk followed by 30-minute Wild America video, Watching Wildlife. Meet at campground amphitheater.

Pontoon Boat Tours
Sunday, August 5, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, & 1:30 PM.

Join park staff for a relaxing and informative 1-hour tour of the George B. Stevenson Reservoir. Program is free, but donations are requested. Pre-registration required. Meet at Lake Day Use Area.
