Introduction to Fly Fishing Class at Sinnemahoning
Scott Whitehead, owner of of Featherman Creations, will offer a free Introduction to Fly Fishing class at Sinnemahoning State Park on Wednesday, August 15, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Scott will introduce you to the three types of fly fishing: dry fly, nymph, and wet fly fishing. He will then explain trout behavior and teach you to read the water with confidence. By the end of the 2-hour class, you will have gained the information and skills needed to go tightline nymph fishing the next day.
Scott has years of professional fishing experience and has recently opened his own fishing pro shop in Penfield, PA, called Featherman Creations.
Scott has guided fly fisherman all over central Pennsylvania, has his own DVD out on Creative Fly Tying, and teaches all aspects of fishing.
This free introductory class will be held in the classroom of the Wildlife Center at Sinnemahoning State Park. Pre-registration is requested.
