Representative Causer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, earning a bachelor’s degree in history & political science. He was then elected as an Annin Township Supervisor at the age of 19 and held that position for 9 years. He also worked as a dispatcher at the 9-1-1 Center in Smethport and served as a part-time police officer for the Borough of Port Allegany. Mr. Causer is also a member of the Bradford Rotary Club.
In 2002, he was elected to the House making it a priority to ensure state government be accessible to everyone in the 67th District. He currently services as chairman of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee and the House Environmental Resources and Energy Committee. Mr. Causer operates 3 full-time district offices located in Bradford, Kane & Coudersport and offers monthly satellite hours in Emporium and Port Allegany. Representative Causer discussed legislation regarding emergency services such as ambulance, school funding, public safety and road and highway issues.
