Rotary News

Local historian, Bill Bogart, was the guest speaker at the Rotary luncheon meeting March 20th. Bill gave an interesting history of Benedict Arnold (1971-1801), a patriot officer who served the cause of the American Revolution until 1779, when he shifted his allegiance to the British. Thereafter, his name became an epithet for traitor in the United States. More information on this subject can be found in Bill O’Reilly’s book “Killing England” and a film “A Question of Honor.”

Guests attending the luncheon were Cathy Wright, sister of Rotarian Bonnie Smith and Shawn & Vanessa Bidwell
