Robert N. Uber


Robert N. Uber, 91, of Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys, PA formerly of 9311 Route 120, Emporium, PA died at Pinecrest Manor on Wednesday (February 21, 2018) morning. He was born March 29, 1926 in Shippen Township, PA a son of the late Edward and Ella Mae Beldin Uber. He married the late Hazel Housler. Mr. Uber served his country during WW II with the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Cincinnati. He retired from Sylvania/North American Philips after over 42 years of employment. He later worked over 10 years for the Emporium Health Care Center. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and played on many teams. His parents spent the last 15 years of their life living with Bob and his family. He loved his family. 

He is survived by four daughters, Frances (Glen) Holterback and Barb Pellam, both of Emporium; Holly (John) Dzemyan, Smethport and Sandra (John) Miller, Kersey; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by seven sisters, Ollie Spencer, Jessie Kriner, Ethel Bly, Ora Lewis, Edith Cato, June Sarick & Irene Lyon; three brothers, Claude, Hugh and Pete Uber, 

 Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (February 24, 2018) at 4:00 PM with Rev. James Eastman, officiating.

 A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail. 

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:30 PM until the service at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in the Moore Hill Cemetery, Emporium, PA 

Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
