Robert E. Moore, Sr


Robert E. Moore, Sr., 72, of 1835 Clear Creek Rd., Emporium, PA died peacefully at Penn Highlands DuBois, DuBois, PA on Saturday morning with his family at his side.(November 18, 2017)

 He was born July 30, 1945 in Emporium, PA to the late Dorman M. and Margaret K. Swoyer Moore, Sr. He married Cynthia Miglicio Moore, who survives. Robert was a retired truck driver working for several local companies in Cameron County. He later worked at Mallory Lumber as a night watchman. HIs greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the family photographer, and was always seen with a camera always hanging around his neck. His favorite hobby was woodworking and he was known as everybody’s “Mr. fix it”

 In addition to his wife Cynthia he is survived by three daughters, Robin (John Uber) Moore, Emporium; Gina (Tracy) Roberts, Staunton, Virginia and Tracy (Mark Rogers) Erickson, Emporium; three sons, Scott (Lisa) Moore, York, PA; Robert (Jen) Moore, Emporium; Ron (Karen) Long, Douglasville, PA; fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, brother, Dorman "Rip" (Mary Grasser) Moore, Jr., Emporium and a sister Grace (Ed) LaBrozzi, Emporium; Sister-in-law Joanne Moore, Emporium, PA 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Cyril "Sonny" Moore.

 A Memorial Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (November 25, 2017) at 1:00 PM with Roberts nephew Mr. DeWayne Moore, officiating. 

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.

 A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
