Phyllis J. Marshall, 81, of Rich Valley Rd., Emporium, died Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in her home.
Born June 28, 1936 in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late Clarince and Martha Westgate Hibbler. On June 4, 1955 in Renovo she married Harry E. Marshall who died January 16, 2007.
A resident of Emporium since 1959, she was formerly of Renovo and Buffalo, NY.
Mrs. Marshall was a member of the Deeper Waters Ministry in Emporium. She was a homemaker and a restaurant cook by trade having been employed by the former Whistle Stop, later Brehms, and Dominico’s Restaurants in Emporium and the Guy and Mary Felt Manor, also in Emporium.
Survivors include: one son, Byron D. Marshall of Emporium; one daughter, Cheryl A. Marshall of Emporium; and one sister, Marilyn Sorling of McHenry, IL.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Melissa, in 2008, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Marshall will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 in Deeper Waters Church, Emporium with Rev. James Eastman, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Deeper Waters Ministry, Fifth and Maple Streets, Emporium, or to a charity of the donors choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium.
