Art Classes fill up the calendar in October
The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center kick off October with classes in quilting, painting, repurposing and faux finishes. The events can be viewed on the chamber Facebook page or online at www.cameroncountychamber.org.
Answering a request by residents, the artisan center is hosting 3 Sunday afternoon classes. October 1 will be a reversible pumpkin/snowman painted sign. All materials are included and the cost is $40.00. On Sunday October 15 Sally Azatto will teach a sign lettering class. The one hour class will start at 2pm and cost $29.00. Sunday October 29 a $15.00 class will be offered using paint to create a faux metal finish. Participants can bring 2 small items to the class.
October 5, 12 and 19 focus on quilting. Gini Schager will teach the log cabin pattern on a Christmas table runner Thursday mornings. Participants must bring their own sewing machine. The cost for that class is $40.00.
Seats are limited in some of the classes. Call the chamber office for details at 814-486-4314.
