John C. House


John C. House, 61, of Manassas, Virginia formerly of Emporium and McGuire AFB, New Jersey died while visiting his mother in St. Marys, PA on Monday (June 12, 2017) evening.

He was born June 23, 1955 in St. Marys, PA a son of Anna Launer House of St. Marys and the late Percy House. John graduated from Cameron County High School, Emporium, PA in 1973. John enlisted in the active duty United States Air Force on August 15, 1973. He then became an Air Force Reserve Technician for the Federal Government stationed at McGuire AFB, NJ from August, 1979 and retired at a rank of E8, Senior Master Sergeant, in March of 1997. John loved spending time with his family, going to the beach and visiting casinos. He was a great cook & master griller, loved playing bingo, watching movies/news/sports/history, was an avid reader and listened to all types of music and of course he never missed watching a plane fly by in the sky.

In addition to his mother he is survived by three daughters, Kimberly House, Jaime House (Jason Heil), both of Manassas, VA; Casey House, Herndon, VA; one son, Eric John House, Sterling, VA; one grandson, Dylan Heil; one step grandson, Kyle Willitts, one step granddaughter, Quita Frederick; three brothers, Gary (Donna) House, Victor, NY; Bradley (Suzanne) House, Lutz, FL and Brian House, St. Marys; two sisters, Nancy Farber, Howard, PA and Diane (Pete) Quinn, Boalsburg.

He was preceded in death by his father, Percy House and one brother, Kelly House.

There will be No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday, June16, 2017 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Steven Miller, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

 A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail following the memorial service.

 Burial will be in the Rich Valley Cemetery, Emporium, PA
