Daniel Jacob Pellam

Daniel Jacob Pellam, 37, passed away suddenly on June 1, 2017 in the loving presence of his family at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was born September 10, 1979 to Gary and Judith Allman Pellam in Port Allegany, PA. Dan grew up in Emporium and was a 1998 graduate of Cameron County High School. He was active with the Youth Group at the First United Methodist Church in Emporium.

Dan moved to Chicago to be near his brother and attended a computer school there. He did not follow that path but became a meat cutter by trade. Through mutual friends he met the love of his life, Melissa Mae Clough and they have been inseparable for the past 12 years. Dan had many friends and interests in his life which included cooking, punk rock music, football and baseball, board games and role playing games.

Dan is sorely missed by his family and his “tons of friends” to quote him. He is survived by his fiancĂ©, Melissa; his mother and stepfather, Judy and Ted Nichols of Emporium; two brothers, John Minich in Oregon, and Joe Pellam in Chicago; several nieces and nephews; and also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Gary Pellam and one brother, Ted Minich.

There will be a Celebration of Life for friends and family at the First United Methodist Church later this summer.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Cameron County Cardiac Committee, c/o Sherry Malizia PhD, PO Box 86, or the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library, 27 W Fourth St., both in Emporium, PA 15834
