Thomas Lee Pearson, 79, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on the morning of May 18, 2017 in the Orlando Regional Medical Center with his two children, Nancy Brodie of Altamonte Springs, Florida and Thomas Pearson of Presque Isle, Maine by his side.

When he and Carol relocated to Orlando in 1989, he became transportation manager for several years at the Center for Independent Living. Known for his patience and kind demeanor, Tom became a favorite of the students and their parents at Lake Highland Preparatory School where he was also in transportation for many years.

Mr. Pearson was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Emporium. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing in and around Cameron County, and after relocating went on to fish many waterways in Florida. In addition to his two children, Tom is survived by his granddaughter Casey Brodie of Orlando, and his brother Donald Pearson of Emporium.
