Sinnemahoning - Celebrate the opening day of trout season with fun and fishy activities at Sinnemahoning State Park on Saturday, April 15 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

This Fishmas Day celebration offers fish-related activities for all ages. Learn to identify the fish of Pennsylvania, make a fish print, look at mayflies through a microscope, and more. Hang a colorful lure on the Fishmas Day tree and receive free coffee, tea or cocoa for your family. Bring your catch along and add your photo to the Fishmas Day Gallery. The longest trout will be featured on Sinnemahoning State Park's Facebook page and digital photo exhibit. Wrap up the afternoon from 3:00 to 4:30 PM, with a program on bald eagles by Cecil Houser, retired PA Fish and Boat Commission officer.

Discover the status of Pennsylvania's bald eagle population and the impressive conservation efforts that helped our national symbol to recover. Program will begin in the classroom of the Wildlife Center then travel to the Wildlife Viewing Area for a look at the newest eagle nest. Spotting scopes and binoculars will be available.
