Roland A. "Buster" Saurman, Jr., 69, of 102 E. 2nd St., Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Thursday (February 23, 2017) morning.
He was born January 1, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA a son of the late Roland and Marjorie Benedict Saurman
Mr. Saurman served with the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was wounded and received a Purple Heart. He worked several jobs in Philadelphia before moving to Cameron County. While living in Cameron County he worked many years at motor Coil and Emporium Secondary. He was a member of the Miller-Raffaelle Post, 6221, VFW, Emporium PA. He enjoyed gunsmithing and doing mechanical work on his truck.
Survived by one sister, Margaret "Sandy" (Jim) Wills, Philadelphia; one brother, Jack Saurman, Pocano's; brother-in-law, John "Bud" Ullman, Driftwood and several nieces and nephews.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Margaret Benedict Saurman, and a sister, Diane Ullman.
There will be No Visitation.
Memorial Services will be announced at a later date
Burial will be in Driftwood, PA
