Rotarian, Diana Boden, introduced guest speaker, Bill Bogart, local businessman and historian, at the Rotary luncheon meeting January 24th.
After graduating from St. Bonaventure University and receiving a masters from Alfred University, Bill moved back to Emporium and has operated his own business, William Bogart Small Business Consulting, for the past 32 years. Prior to that, Bill worked for county government and private industry. He also served 19 years on school boards in Coudersport and Cameron county.
During his childhood, Max Narby turned history into Bill’s passion especially the Civil War. Bill has studied Civil War history for many years and spoke of many details of the war including the fact that more deaths occurred during the Civil War than any war in American history. General Lee’s war tactics are still studied in the military forces today.
