Richard W. “Dick” Hickoff, 83, of 804 Rich Valley Road, Emporium, PA
died at UPMC-Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA Sunday, January 15, 2017 evening
He was born December 31, 1933 in Emporium a son of the late Homer and Marion Munsell Hickoff.
On September 29, 1956 in St. Leo Catholic Church, Ridgway, PA he married Janet Allegretto, who survives.
Mr. Hickoff resided in Emporium all his life. A graduate of Cameron County High School, he worked as a banker until retirement. A St. Mark’s Catholic Church parishioner, he served as a Eucharistic Minister, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Christabell Club and the Moose Lodge. He was active in several local sportsmen’s clubs as well, and coached the Emporium Foundation Little League team. He'll be remembered as an avid hunter, fly fisherman, fly-tying enthusiast and fish taxidermist.
Surviving in addition to Janet Allegretta Hickoff are three sons, Steven R. Hickoff, Kittery, Maine; David C. Hickoff, Fenton, Michigan; Ronald Hickoff, Erie, PA; six grandsons and one great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Marion Munsell Hickoff.
Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 120 E. Fourth St., Emporium on Wednesday from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Wednesday (January 18, 2017) at 1:00 PM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
