Loretta Forsythe

Loretta Forsythe, 89, of 1730 Bucktail Rd., St. Marys, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA Friday (December 30, 2016) morning following a lengthy illness

 She was born January 6, 1927 in Caledonia, PA a daughter of the late Albert R. and Rose Lutterotti Hixon. On December 18, 1941 in Penfield she married the late Fred Forsythe, Sr. Loretta worked, for over 33 years, at Sylvania in Emporium. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle in Coudersport for over 40 years. She loved spending time with her family, friends and enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing things for others.

 She is survived by two daughters, Rose (Lonnie) Whitt, Opp, Alabama and Midge (Tim) Houghtaling, Coudersport; son, Fred (Darlene) Forsythe, Jr., Coudersport; longtime friend & caregiver, Judy Pearsall, St. Marys; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Kephart, Penfield.

 Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Albert R. and Rose Lutterotti Hixon, husband, Fred Forsythe, Sr. who died in 1973, daughter, Gloria Forsythe, granddaughter, Gloria Whitt; three brothers, George Hixon, Sr., Thomas Hixon and one brother in infancy; two sisters, Marie Viola and Carrie Wendell.

 Funeral Service will be held at the Gospel Tabernacle, 420 Route 6, West, Coudersport, PA on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Rev. John Minor, Pastor, officiating. Visitation will be at the Gospel Tabernacle, on Friday, two hours prior to the Service. 

 Burial will be in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery, St. Marys, PA Online
