Geocaching Family Event at Sinnemahoning State Park
Join park staff and local GPS enthusiasts for an exciting day of geocaching at Sinnemahoning State Park on Saturday, November 12, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM.
This fun, family event starts off with a pot-luck luncheon in the classroom of the Park Office and Wildlife Center, followed by interactive games to help participants get to know their fellow cachers.
Individuals and families new to this high-tech scavenger hunt can get help with using a GPS, setting up a Geocaching.com account, marking waypoints and finding geocaches, including over 20 family-friendly caches already in the park.
Pre-registration is requested for this free program. The first 40 registrants will receive a Sinnemahoning State Park pathtag.
For more information, please call Sinnemahoning State Park at 814-647-8401, or email SinnemahoningSP@pa.gov.
If you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit.
With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
