Eleanor C. Mayer

Eleanor C. Mayer, 85 of Emporium PA passed away on September 10, 2016 in Lake Mary, Florida with family at her side.

Born March 9, 1931 in Emporium PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank O. and Elva G. Ingersoll Lewis. Eleanor graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1949.

On March 15, 1952 she married the late Allen K. Mayer.

She is survived by six children. Five sons: Larry A. (Lora) Mayer, DeBary, FL; Ron L. (Linda) Mayer, San Antonio, TX, Dan C. (Leslie) Mayer, League City, TX, Frank L. (Barbara) Mayer, Naples, FL, Randy K. (Lisa) Mayer, Yorktown, VA., and one daughter Linda E. (Kevin) Johnson, Emporium PA; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marlene England, Laurel, MD.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank O. and Elva G. Ingersoll Lewis and her husband Allen K. Mayer.

A memorial service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Tuesday, (September 27, 2016) at 12:00 PM with Father Matt Ryan, Rector, officiating. The family will recieve friends, prior to the service, from 10:00 AM to Noon. 

Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery in Emporium.
