Paul A. "Sonny" Abriatis

 
Paul A. "Sonny" Abriatis, 74, of 49 Huckleberry Circle, Emporium, PA died at Altoona Hospital, Altoona, PA on Tuesday (June 21, 2016) morning. He was born December 18, 1941 in Pittsburgh, PA a son of the late Paul "Pete" Abriatis and Mildred Greiner Renton Abriatis Elder

On December 28, 1963 in St. Mark Catholic Church he married Donna Gillette Abriatis, who survives. Sonny attended elementary school at St. Ann's Catholic School in Pittsburgh and later at East Forest High School in Marienville where he graduated in 1960. He moved to Emporium and began working with his father in the construction business which he did for over 50 years, until poor health and economy forced him to quit. Together they built most of the industrial buildings in Cameron County. Sonny was a 4th° knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium.

Surviving in addition to his wife Donna Gillette Abriatis, of over 52 years are four sons, Paul (Nicole) Abriatis, Emporium;
 Michael (Beth) Abriatis, Pittsburgh;
Jon Abriatis, Emporium;
Mark (Jen) Abriatis, Emporium.
Ten Grandchildren: Ian, Haley, Autumn, Emily, Joe, Molly, Sarah, Maggie, Noah & Zach.
Brother, Robert "Bob" (Roseann) Abriatis, Mesa, AZ;
 Sister, Aloma Jean Rudolph, Emporium;
 Special Friends, Mary Jo Fiore & Joan Price.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul "Pete" and Mildred Greiner Renton Abriatis Elder; Two Brothers, James and Ron Abriatis.
 
 Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (June 25, 2016) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 PM. Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
