Big Foot Calling and Hunting

Saturday July 2 Cameron County hunters will take to the trails and look for Big Foot. New this year will be a Big Foot calling contest. Licenses now on sale for the annual Big Foot Hunt which benefits Mountaineer Search & Rescue.

Tombob Outdoors will film the hunt and calling contest to air at a later date. “We are excited for the exposure Tombob Outdoors will give this contest, which is one of our largest fundraisers,” says Steve Bajor from Mountaineer Search & Rescue.

Hunters must possess a $5.00 license to hunt July 2. The hunting season opens at sunrise and continues until 1:00pm. At 2:00pm the calling contest begins and prizes awarded at 2:30pm.

Licenses are available at Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, Bears Den, Driftwood Saloon and Grill, Sinnemahoning Tavern, South Park Supply, and Tombob Outdoors.

The hunt and calling contest are held in conjunction with Weekend in the Wilds in Emporium which concludes with fireworks Saturday at 9:30pm.
