Lack of Snow Spells Postponement For The Cameron County Cardboard Classic

Lack of Snow Spells Postponement

The Cameron County Cardboard Classic and snow festival planned for Saturday February 6 postponed for the third week in a row due to lack of sufficient snow and ice thickness. Officials from Cameron County Chamber of Commerce and Emporium Country Club had set three dates for the event. “We have exhausted our calendar of dates,” says Tina Johns Solak from the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce.

Johns Solak says the plans will remain in place to host the event at a future date if a snowstorm hits the region. If the winter remains snowless, the event will be planned for 2017.
