George E. Dixon, 90, of 283 Tannery Heights, Emporium, PA
died at his residence on Wednesday (January 13, 2016) afternoon.
He was born May 14, 1925 in Brookville, PA a son of the late John and Edith Heitzenrater Dixon.
On July 3, 1948 in Falls Creek he married the late Nellie Long Dixon.
George served with United States Navy during World War II. He moved to Emporium in 1948 and started working for the former Cramer Supply Company. He eventually opened his own business and retired as a self-employed general contractor where he specialized in cabinet making. George enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and being with his family.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. 4th St., Emporium, PA on Monday from 12:00-12:45 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rock Pifer, Pastor, Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Newton Cemetery where a Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
