Santa Bringing Reindeer to Christmas in the Wilds
Santa Claus is the star of Christmas in the Wilds set for Saturday December 12 in Cameron County.
This year Santa promises to bring a reindeer or two to the celebration.
The day begins Saturday 9-11am with breakfast with Santa at the
Emporium Volunteer Fire Department.
Adults can eat for $5.00 and children under 10 eat for $3.00.
Bring your camera and take pictures with Santa.
Santa’s reindeer will be munching on grass in the middle of downtown Emporium. Vendors will be selling gift items, and food starting at 9 in the morning. Businesses in town will also feature sales.
Inside the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, Mountain Melodies will ring in the season with Christmas music starting at 10. The Emporium Garden Club will have displays of table settings.
At noon the parade steps off from Walnut Street to the Cameron County High School. The day wraps up with the announcement of the Best Decorated House in Cameron County and the best business wreath. Voters have until Saturday at 11 to turn in their ballots at the chamber office.
