This is an abbreviated form of the minutes from the December 8th Booster meeting:
*Every day supplies are running low (Kleenex, band aides, germ ex, etc.) and need to be replaced. After a short discussion it was decided that Mr Sensenig will send home a letter asking for donations to replenish.
*The winter twirlers are going to put up a table at the Christmas concert to sell the leftover CC pins.
*District band: instead of separate bags for each visiting student, it was decided that the boosters will supply “goodie bags” for each school. The band directors can distribute the snacks to each of the kids in the hotel rooms.
*Fruit sale went well. Unloading and sorting went really well
.
*The pizza sale stuff is in the office. The sale will be started over Christmas Break.
*The Christmas Concert is December 17th @ 7:00pm. . Christmas in the Wilds Parade is December 12th @ 12:00 noon. Kids are to report to the band room by 11am. The District band festival is January 22 & 23. We will need a few parents on the afternoon/evening of the 22nd to check in with Mr Sensenig and to set up for the banquet
. We will also need ticket takers (6) and banquet workers (3) for the 23rd.
*Mr Sensenig has been asked by the Pearl Harbor Committee to be the head of an “honor band” from Pennsylvania to march in the 75th anniversary parade. This will be a mix of kids from area high school bands. It is not a project the Boosters will be directly involved in. More to come on this later.
*Parade of Stars is February 20th. We will be doing the Taste Table again. More on this next month.
*The Band was asked to ring the Salvation Army bells on December 21-23 from Noon to 7:00. The kids were asked to go home and check their schedules so they can sign up for hour-long shifts
.
*The next Band trip is tentative for Walt Disney World in the spring of the 2017/2018 school year.
Marching season may be over, but music season is never over.
Come out to the next music boosters meeting and find out what happens.
*Next Boosters’ meeting will be Tuesday, January 10th @ 5:30
