Allen M. Blackburn, DDS

Allen M. Blackburn, DDS, 78, of 82 Thornapple Rd., Emporium, PA died at Penn Highlands Elk, St. Marys, PA on Sunday (December 20, 2015) night. He was born January 15, 1937 in Riverside, PA a son of the late Joseph and Ethel Morgan Blackburn.

 On January 25, 1962 in Wilkes-Barre he married Suzanne Evans Blackburn, who survives. Dr. Blackburn graduated from University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He was a self employed dentist in Emporium for many years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of the Emporium Rotary Club with over 47 years of service. He served the club as Past President and was a Paul Harris Fellow and was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 -12:45 on Saturday (Dec. 26th) at the First United Methodist Church, 306 S Spruce St., Emporium, where a Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Joseph Short, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville, PA
