Turkey Trek Hike Saturday, November 21, 2015

Tomorrow's Turkey Trek Hike will be held in the no-hunting zone in the 40 Maples Day Use Area. It is out-of-bounds for bear hunting, but orange vests are recommended just in case.

"Turkey Trek" Hike Offered at Sinnemahoning State Park this Saturday Get ahead of the calorie count for the holidays by burning the equivalent of at least one piece of pie on this 3.5 mile hike, Saturday, November 21, 1:00 PM, at Sinnemahoning State Park.

Learn more about the wild turkey and the conservation efforts behind its remarkable come-back to the hills and valleys of northcentral PA. The pace will be moderate, with a few slight hills. Turkey sightings are not guaranteed, but who knows where they might be lurking!

Hikers should dress for the weather, wear sturdy boots or shoes, and bring water. Meet at the 40 Maples Day Use Area pavilion. No pre-registration is required for this free program.
