Deadline Looming for Sinnemahone 50k
Saturday October 17 will mark the third running of the Sinnemahone 50k. The deadline for registration is set for Thursday October 1. “Added this year is a 10k course. We hope that will introduce runners to trail courses and encourage participation in various trail runs held throughout the PA Wilds,” explained race director, Craig Hudson. All three races begin and end in Emporium. The course follows the West Creek Rails to Trails for less than one half mile and travels through the Elk State Forest utilizing pipelines and DCNR trails.
Registrations can be dropped off at the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce office in Emporium, taken over the phone or online at www.ultrasignup.com.
In conjunction with the race, a community fall flea market will be held in downtown Emporium. The chamber of commerce office (814-486-4314) is taking reservations for $10.00 a spot.
