R. Madalene Mason


R. Madalene Mason, 92, of 58 Mason Run Rd., Driftwood, PA died at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA on Monday (February 2, 2015) morning. She was born October 17, 1922 in Karthaus, PA a daughter of the late Martin and Estella McGonigal Stimpson. 

On January 1, 1941 in Sterling Run on the Mason farm she married the late William Anson Mason. Mrs. Mason worked at the former A & P for almost 30 years and all of her customer loved her. Madalene was a member of the Sterling Run United Methodist Church where she was involved as a Sunday school teacher, youth group leader and active with the Methodist Women. Madalene loved the Lord Jesus Christ and his people.

 Son: John Mason, Driftwood
 Son: Gerald Mason and his wife Delia, Naples, FL 
11 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren 
Sister: Dorothy Wennin, Coudersport

 Martin and Estella McGonigal Stimpson 
Husband: William Anson Mason
 2 Brothers: Guy and Jim Stimpson
 2 Sisters: Jean Kuppelweiser & Enda Stimpson

 A Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Friday (February 6, 2015) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Lola Turnbull, Pastor, Sterling Run United Methodist Church, officiating. 

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 PM.

 Burial will be in the Pine Street Cemetery, Sterling Run, PA
