Norma Dill Hickoff, age 88, of East Fourth Street, formerly of Oak Lane and Poplar Street, died Friday, February 27, 2015, in Guy and Mary Felt Manor, Emporium.
Born October 27, 1926 in Sterling Run, she was the daughter of George L. and Alice Strawbridge Dill. On October 26, 1946 in Juneau, PA she married Edgar “Boxy” Hickoff who died September 7, 1994.
A resident of Cameron County her entire life, Norma was a 1944 graduate of Emporium High School. She was employed for a few years by Sylvania Electric in Emporium and by the PA Department of Environmental Resources Bureau of State Parks in Emporium for 25 years before her retirement.
Mrs. Hickoff was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Emporium and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Emporium Chapter #101, was a Girl Scout leader for many years, was a golfing member and served on the Board of Directors of Emporium Country Club, and for 35 years was treasurer of the Salvation Army. She was also a past member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Emporium Country Club and a longtime member of the 500 Card Club in Emporium.
Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Gerard (Deborah) Bauer of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and Mrs. Gary (Diana) Boden of Emporium; five grandchildren; Mrs. Ken (Julie) Shaffer of Emporium, Scott (Angie) Boden of Butler, Pete (Melissa) Bauer of Cambria, WI, Mrs. James (Sally) Azzato of Kersey, and Brett (Stacy) Bauer of Waunakee, WI; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Earl Dill of Emporium; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Robert Dill, George Dill, and Bertram Dill and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Florence) Smith and Mrs. Lowell (Rita) Wheeler, and a great granddaughter, Kendyl Shaffer.
Friends will be received in the First Presbyterian Church, Monday, March 2 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at which time Funeral and Committal Services will follow with the Rev. Phil Sanders, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium.
