Firequacker Duck Derby Blasts Off

                                           Firequacker Duck Derby Blasts Off

The largest crowd yet cheered on the Firequacker Duck Derby Saturday October 11. The event was held at Forty Maples Use Area of Sinnemahoning State Park during the First Fork Festival. More than 500 ducks paddled down the First Fork toward the finish line.

The winning duck was adopted by Paul Eckert, second place belonged to Judy Summerson and the third duck paddling across the finish line belonged to Meg Whiting. Eckert and Summerson each adopted their ducks from Reid’s Hometown Emporium.

The funds raised will be matched dollar for dollar by Seneca Resources. All the funds benefit the yearly fireworks set to blast off from the Cameron County Football Field Friday July 3.
