National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

Emporium PA – On September 27 from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. the Pennsylvania State Police station in Emporium and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will
give the public its ninth opportunity in four years to prevent pill abuse and
theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and
unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your
pills for disposal to Pennsylvania Police station on Rt 120 West, one mile from town. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or
patches.) The following medications will be accepted for disposal: Prescription medications and over the counter medications. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
