Hometown Mentors, Inc. (HMI) is pleased to announce that Mrs. Catherine
(Kate) Pohl has agreed to be the celebrity spokesperson for our
nonprofit organization for 2014. HMI’s motto is: “Come back home. Give
back hope. Encourage the future of your hometown. Be a mentor.”
Kate Pohl, RN, was born in Ridgway PA in 1931. She moved to Emporium at
the tender age of one-and-a half years. She is one of four daughters of
the late John T. and Mary L. Quigley. Kate attended both the
East Ward and West Ward schools and graduated from Emporium High School
with the class of 1948. She is excited about the mission of Hometown
Mentors, Inc., and is delighted to be the 2014 spokesperson.
