Friday and Saturday Cameron County will celebrate the
holidays with Christmas in the Wilds.
The yearly event held the second Saturday in December includes
activities for kids of all ages!
The event begins Friday Night December 13 with a Holiday
House Tour! The event sponsored by the
Cameron County Fireworks begins at 6pm.
Tickets are limited and available at Maureens Beauty Salon and the
chamber office for $10.00 each. The
tickets entitle the bearer to $1.00 off any entrée Friday night at Aroma Café
& Restaurant, Buttonwood Restaurant, Cabin Kitchen and Pizza Palace
Plus. The homes on the tour include East
Fifth Street, Brian & Chrissy Slusarick plus Don and Ann Olivett. On West Fourth Street the homes include the
Hornung Victorian plus Don & Mary Ives.
Saturday starts at 9 in the morning with food and craft vendors
setting up on Fourth Street from Broad to Chestnut. Numerous businesses will also feature
specials on Saturday morning. Emporium
Senior Center on Maple Street will host an indoor craft show. At the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department
Santa will have breakfast with kids of all ages! The price is Adults $4.00 and children
$3.00. While Santa is eating, his
reindeer will enjoy a stop in Emporium.
Seneca Resources is making sure they have a comfortable visit in the
downtown area. Seneca Resources explores
develops and purchases natural gas.
Starting at 10 till noon inside Cappy’s Clothing members of
the CMA Church will help youngsters make reindeer antlers! Inside the Cameron County Chamber of
Commerce, the Merry Music Makers will perform at 11am. The Christmas in the Wilds parade steps off
at noon from the former Fourth Street School in Emporium. This year Santa will have a seat above the
parade route courtesy the Emporium Volunteer Fire Department.
The weekend does not end till midnight! The Community Benefit Dance will rock the
Cameron County Vets Club starting at 8pm.
Proceeds will be given to two families in Cameron County
