Rails to Trails to Benefit Emporium Businesses
St Marys Snowmobile Association and Cameron County Chamber
of Commerce working together to give Emporium businesses the most exposure when
the West Creek Rails to Trails opens.
Two welcome signs will be installed at the entrance to the borough. Those signs will list the names of businesses
in the community.
“An added benefit for the businesses along the trail, will
be the installation of directional signs to specific businesses”, says Cameron
County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tina Johns Solak. Signs with the business names and arrows will
be installed on the split rail fence that will enclose the trail through
Emporium. At each business the fencing will be open so travelers
will have easy access . Work is
anticipated to begin on the trail over the next few weeks. The black bridge at the western end of town
is finished and available for use.
Any businesses interested in the program should contact the
chamber office in the next few days, as signs will be ordered by the first of
November.
